Zambia Forestry and Forest Industries Corporation PLC is advancing plans to enhance the value of its wood products by investing in a state-of-the-art wood processing plant. As a milestone towards this drive, the Corporation has conducted Factory Acceptance Testing with Wood-Mizer in Kolo, Poland for the first part of the Plant earmarked for timber processing. A team of officials from the Corporation conducted inspection of equipment before onward shipment to Zambia.
ZAFFICO will between 2024 and 2026 invest USD30 million into setting up the state-of-the-art wood processing plant in Kalulushi to produce sawn timber and manufacture finished wood products among them, particle boards, plywood and briquettes.
